I am all about digital minimalism and slow living (work in progress). For me a dash to the finish line in my creative projects makes me hyper aware of the ‘gap’ between where I am and where I want to be, if the perceived gap is large enough, it activates my stress response putting me in a restless and agitated ‘state experience‘. This contributed to a major burnout crash I experienced a few years ago.
Enter Kaizen to the rescue! Kaizen is a Japanese philosophy that denotes positive change, big or small, one time or continuously. I like the idea of continuously implementing small daily improvements whilst partaking in my Hero’s Journey.
Slowing down and incrementally working patiently, persistently and diligently on my goals yields a more flow state experience and a sense of calm confidence.
One step at a time. 🤗 Go Kaizen!!
