This was the messiest but tastiest episode yet. Thanks to everyone who came!

Chai Tea Cake.

-2 cups water
-3 tablespoons/bags chai tea
-1 piece fresh ginger root, peeled
-1 teaspoon ground cardamom

Combine in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to lowest setting and work with the other parts.

-1/2 cup white surgar
-1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

Mix with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Then add

-1 cup molasses
-1 large egg

And mix well.

-2 1/2 cups flour
-1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
-1 teaspoon ground ginger
-1 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-1/2 teaspoon salt

Combine dry ingredients. Then add the wet part half at a time, mixing in-between. Then strain and add the tea mixture and mix together.
Dough will be more liquidity then normal.
Poor into cake pans, and cook for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees.


Cake Gravy/Canadian Cream.

-1 Cup table cream
-1 can sweetened condensed milk
-1 teaspoon espresso powder
-2 tablespoons chocolate syrup*
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1 teaspoon almond extract
-1 2/3 cup crown royal

Put everything in a blender and mix on high for at least 30 seconds.


*Simple Chocolate syrup.

-1 1/2 cups water
-1 cup sugar
-1 cup cocoa powder
-dash of salt

Combine ingredients in a saucepan over low heat, whisking constantly until the mixture beings to simmer. Remove from heat, and stir in

-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
